Mobile Application Privacy Notice

This section applies specifically to the Wimera mobile application (“App”) available on Android and iOS devices.

Information We Collect
 

The App collects only the information necessary to authenticate users and provide access to services.

Account Information

When users sign in to the App, we collect:
  • Username
  • Password (used only for authentication)

Application Data

After successful authentication, the App retrieves and displays information from authorized Wimera backend systems. This information may include operational, monitoring, reporting, or business data made available by the customer’s organization.

How We Use Information

We use the collected information to:
  •  Authenticate users
  •  Provide secure access to the App
  •  Retrieve and display authorized customer data
  •  Maintain the security and integrity of our services
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide support
  •  Comply with legal and contractual obligations

Biometric Authentication and Device Security

The App may provide an optional quick-login feature that allows users to authenticate using security mechanisms already configured on their device, such as:

  • Device PIN
  • Device pattern lock

Biometric information is not collected, stored, processed, or transmitted by Wimera Systems.

Biometric verification is performed entirely by the operating system of the user’s device. The App only receives confirmation that authentication was successful.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared only:

  •  With the customer’s organization that owns or manages the data being accessed
  •  With trusted service providers who assist in operating our services under confidentiality obligations
  •  When required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request

The App does not require access to:

  • Camera
  • Microphone
  • Photos or media files
  • Contacts
  • Location services
  • Bluetooth

The App requires internet connectivity solely for communication with Wimera backend services.

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

Communication between the App and backend services is protected using industry-standard security measures.

User account information and application data are retained only for as long as necessary to:
